I love the red can. I love the clear crisp hot tang of the first sip of my cup of coffee, and the way it smells, which isn't like any other smell on earth, and the way it's delicious before it's brewed, while you're drinking it, and afterwards, when you're wondering if you should have another cup, and deciding that yes, you should.

When your packaging design has been around for over a century, it develops a following. Check out the inventive uses French Market Coffee & Chicory drinkers have found for their iconic Red Cans ... then try a few or send us your own!

I use your lovely and distinctive coffee cans as door stops in our home.  Once filled with pea gravel they are excellent sentries at our doors.  My husband and I love your product and your packaging!

I save the cans and use them in my classroom for students to hold their pencils, hall pass and checkbook ledger. It is EXACTLY the right size to slip a checkbook into ... used to record their entries. I use this as my classroom management plan. I just need to be sure to have 24 empty cans each year for them to decorate and keep. (I drink a lot of New Orleans French Market Coffee & Chicory... and I live in the land of Starbuck's!)

As a Katrina survivor from Bay St. Louis, MS, I count on my red cans to brighten my day and bring me a bit of HOME. I root plants in the northern winter and plant them in my red cans. The little plants in the red cans are great gifts for all occasions! I miss home!

I'm a mosaic artist. I use the coffee cans to mix grout for my projects. I can't imagine life without them anymore.

I used to use them as canisters.  I'd cut out the labels of things that came in bags … and scotch tape them to the cans.  Then I'd line up my canisters for croutons, red beans, rice, flour, pasta and anything else that presented itself.  Those cans have also served to hold screws, nails and all the little parts that relate to woodworking.
